The Muráň Castle
The Muráň Castle, one of the highest situated castles of Slovakia, was built as the royal sentry castle on top of the Cigánka cliff at the height of 935 m in the 13th century.
Pension Safran is located in the picturesque village of Stratena, in the southern part of the Slovak Paradise. It is a family-run guest house offering standard accommodation and catering services. The guest house is open all year round and offers the opportunity to spend an unforgettable holiday.

We invite all mountain biking (MTB) enthusiasts who are determined to challenge the beautiful nature of Spiš at the limits of their abilities to Spišská Nová Ves on July 24-25, 2026, to the 14th annual extreme non-stop MTB race "SPIŠSKÝ 333 EXTREME". The race is organized by OOCR Slovenský raj & Spiš, the City of Spišská Nová Ves and the ADAM SNV Leisure Center, with the financial support of the Košice Self-Governing Region and KOCR Košice Region Tourism.
