Exhibition Hora | Hruda | Žena (Mountain Heath Woman)

Exhibition project Mountain Heath Woman is focused on the presentation of objects from the collection of the Podtatranské Museum in Poprad - the collection of art, ethnology, history and photo archive. Thematically, it focuses on the Tatra and sub-Tatra region, the living and cultural and social environment, village life, agriculture and the relationship between man and women living and working in this environment. The focus is on the woman, her role and position in society in folk culture. The project focuses on the life of a woman in a mountainous and foothill area in the past, a woman living in these harsh geographical conditions, which is associated with this specific environment.

MOUNTAIN | refers to a specific area, mountain and foothill area, natural environment, High and Low Tatras

HEATH | refers to the land, homeland and agricultural life of the sub-Tatra man-woman; village life and the role of women in this environment

WOMAN | life stages of a woman - child, young woman, mature woman, old age; female mother, "maintainer of family, offspring and fire"

The exhibition will run from June 8, 2021 to September 30, 2021.

Admission is included in the price of the museum ticket: € 4.00 / adult; € 2.00 / children, pupils, students, disabled; children up to 6 years free of charge
