Longtime friends Jules, Antoine and Axel are about to spend a weekend together. It seems like it will be another pleasant outing, but appearances can be deceiving. What happens if one of them asks the other two to pay his bill, even though he had sovereignly invited them the night before? And what can happen if you accidentally read a text message that doesn't belong to you? The production The Account spins a carousel of funny and explosive situations, gradually revealing the world of men. However, this is not a classic comedy with a relationship plot, but a probe into the world of men, its logic, laws, absurdities, but also rules that should not be broken. Otherwise, there is a risk of rift and conflict.

“The goal of our production is to elevate and play out the situations in the text. The quality cast and the energy of all the actors are a guarantee of this. The cast in particular holds great promise for this production. Comedic acting and interplay built on details are characteristic of this trio. We understand and want to honor that The Account is not a classic comedy where humor is created – there is nothing funny here for the characters in the story. They find themselves in a serious existential situation and are solving it. The humor arises precisely because of their sincerity, the truthfulness of their emotions and opinions, when we, as observers, look at it, we laugh. Often because we are glad that we are not in their place. And also because we may know similar situations very well. They are and should be real,” say the creators.

The theater production The Account was created by adapting the French original by Clément Michel in collaboration with Studio L+S, ADY PRODUCTION and the MÚZA TEATRO Theater. Directed by Jakub Nvota, translated by Elena Flašková. Music by Kamil Mikulčík, and set and costumes by Eva Kudláčová Rácová.
