Burgher’s house

Museum & Gallery

The burgher’s house is an urban museum depicting the life of middle-class citizens in Stará Ľubovňa at the end of the 19th century. The exposition gives an insight into furniture style which is retrieved by figures dressed in antique costumes.

The most interesting attraction of the burgher’s house is without a doubt a mint where you can strike your own coin – the Ľubovňa golden and red coin – all by yourself. Moreover, the museum shows former crafts and guilds. During the sight-seeing visitors can have a look at the indeed non-functional, but furnished blue print workshop as well as at the fully functioning pottery manufactory.
