Sĺňava
A popular summer holiday resort, the water reservoir Sĺňava, is next to the world famous spa Piešťany situated in west of Slovakia.
The building, designed by an anonymous project, handed over into operation in 1906. Its characteristic feature is the exterior brick, gray masonry; Tracks Actions obverse bricks are earned interest in the sculptural decoration of facades, which mainly cornice game offers a diverse sampler of songs as a dentil, multiple projections or other decorations. Elektrarna Piestany (EP) is restored industrial monument of the early 20th century. The former city of diesel power plants, registered on the list of national cultural heritage, from the autumn of 2014 the area of education, culture, social activities and meeting all generations.
Parliament has been refurbished by the winning project of the student design competition which will display in the year. 2008 owner ZSE, as (ZSE). Michal Ganobjak develop it and Vladimír Hain led by Doc. Ing. Eva reign, PhD. Faculty of Architecture, Slovak Technical University in Bratislava. In addition to the chance to implement this project and gained wide recognition at home and abroad.
Reconstruction of national cultural monument Elektárňa Piestany for the needs of scientific and technical education of youth and social functions is the largest single contribution to ZSE in community investment.
The winning design student competition for transformation of today's forgotten depot to a vibrant meeting place of science and culture for all generations. It creates space for non-formal education and direct contact with science and technology. Children and adults here can explore "how things work" laws and cycle power. It provides opportunities for multifunctional use for cultural and social activities.

The Spa Golf Club in Piešťany is situated not far from the well-known spa area. It was established as one of the first golf courses in Slovakia as early as in 1914.

The museum is a part of the Military Historical Institute and has its seat at the premises of a former military airport in Piešťany. The Exposition of Czechoslovak military Armature from the years 1945 to 1992 is the permanent exposition of the Military Museum Piešťany. The museum was opened on 25th of September 2004, after its removal from the exposition in Trenčín.

An important cultural and historical monument in environs of the world-famous spa Piešťany in south-western Slovakia is the Renaissance manor house with a park situated in the village Moravany nad Váhom.
On top of the hill Kostolec on the edge of the mountain range Považský Inovec next to the village Ducové near Piešťany there stood once a fortified site of a Great Moravian magnate. Today remains of the fort offer a wonderful view of the lower part of region Považie.
The Homeland Studies Museum in Hlohovec is situated in the Franciscan Monastery from 1492 and it also includes the monastery canteen and the refectory with stucco decoration. Besides this, visitors can also see expositions of pottery, porcelain and glasswork as well as the collection of historical bells and stone sculptures.
Fans of history will perhaps climb the hill towering above the village Podhradie in the Považský Inovec Mts. in west Slovakia with the Topoľčiansky hrad Castle on its top.
Hlohovec is one of the few towns in Slovakia which have observatories (19) and one of the five towns with a planetarium. We organize field trips to the planetarium, lectures and astronomic observations of the Sun and the night sky.
In the cadastre of Dechtice, in the forests of Malé Karpaty, there are ruins of the Church and Monastery of St. Catherine. The monastery founded by count Cristopher Erdödy in 1618 at the place where St. Catherine allegedly revealed herself to the young count and hermit - Ján Appony - belonged to the Franciscan order.
Situation of the village Dobrá Voda in the inner-mountain basin is also picturesque. Ruins of the Castle Dobrá Voda Castle tower above the area of the Dobrovodský karst.
