Štrkáreň is located in the cadastral area of Komjatice. It is a water area with islands, which was created by dredging during the extraction of gravel on the left side of the road from Komjatice to Černík. The area of the gravel pit is 45 ha and its maximum depth is 18 meters.

There are excellent conditions for water sports such as: swimming, diving, motor boating, windsurfing, etc. There is a sandy volleyball court by the water, which is enjoyed by beach volleyball fans. Fishing is developed in the gravel pit. Fish live here, such as: carp, grass carp, catfish, pike, toothfish, perch, eel, tench, crucian carp, flatfish, etc. The fishing area is taken care of by the Komjatice Fishing Company. Visitors have the opportunity to purchase a guest fishing ticket.

The Mojmírovce Mansion is situated 15 km southwards from the region center Nitra in the village of Mojmírovce. The first written reference to a former town with rich history dates back to 1156. The theatre of Nitra was created in 1950 and since 1979, it has been bearing the name of the important Slovak actor, director, teacher and organizer of dramatic arts – Andrej Bagar. Since 1992 it has been using one of Slovakia´s largest and most modern theatre buildings.
