The Muráň Castle
The Muráň Castle, one of the highest situated castles of Slovakia, was built as the royal sentry castle on top of the Cigánka cliff at the height of 935 m in the 13th century.
Get to know the beauties of the Muránska planina National Park in an untraditional way by wandering on a Hucul horse with a one or more day journey. Riding is suitable for inexperienced riders as well as complete novices. A trained guide will teach you both riding and appropriate behavior in the company of horses. It only depends on you what long and demanding journey you choose.
For three-hour or more day trips, accommodation and meals are provided at transfer stations at Gazdovské dvor, at the Chlipavica saddle, at the Burda saddle and at Predná hora. For families with children, we have prepared a horse-drawn carriage with which you can go on an adventurous ride through the plain.
Contact us min. 1 - 2 weeks before the travel date. Consider your riding skills and in agreement with you we will create an ideal route. The itinerary can last from one day with accommodation, to a multi-day journey with several types of accommodation.
