The National Park of Muránska planina with its wild mountain karstic landscape and minimum human interventions is located between central and eastern parts of Slovakia. On the top of the peek, we find the fabled ruins of the Castle of Muráň.

Národný park Muránska planina sa jaskyňami len tak hemží. Napočítali by sme ich tu viac ako 250. Verejnosti prístupná je však len jediná z nich – Wesselényiho (alebo tiež Vešeléniho) jaskyňa.

Keď sa povie „lúka plná sysľov“ alebo „syslia lúka“, mnohí ľudia, ktorí boli v Národnom parku Muránska planina už automaticky vedia, že reč je o sysľovisku Biele vody pri Muráni. Táto lokalita sa stala natoľko známou, že patrí medzi hlavné ťaháky turizmu na Muránskej planine a určite patrí k najviac navštevovaným miestam. Možnosť vidieť sysľa vo voľnej prírode naozaj z bezprostrednej blízkosti je pri prirodzenej plachosti týchto hlodavcov naozaj výnimočným zážitkom.

Zaujímavú trasu ponúka aj región Gemeru. Priamo z Tisovca sa totiž dvakrát vypraví unikátna historická parná zubačka, ktorá cestujúcich prevezie cez Čertov viadukt, či viadukt Pod Dielom až na Zbojskú. Zubačka Tisovec je historickou pripomienkou niekdajšej baníckej slávy gemerského regiónu a na svojej trati prekonáva až 50 % stúpanie.

The Čertova dolina, which is very attractive for tourists, is located in the Muránska planina National Park, not far from the Zbojská saddle.
