From Liptovská Mara to the forest of Malatiná

Leading to the hill extending above the water reservoir Bešeňová the asphalt road starts ascending immediately after the start. You can see a few nice corners with a view of the Low Tatras in conjunction with water surface. Pass the village of Vlachy and enjoy another short climb to the Liptovská Mara dam wall. The first thing you´ll see is the West Tatras and a church by Liptovská Mara, where a popular place for swimming is located. The route ascends further, you´ll pass the archaeological site Havránok, and after a few curves you are once again almost at the level of Liptovská Mara. Go across the main road and continue to the village of Liptovská Anna. By a small house in the end of the village turn left on a gravel path, occasionally interrupted by puddles, but after a while its quality surpasses first-class national roads. Continuing in an undemanding ascent along the stream in the shade of the forest, you will finally reach the village of Malatíny.
