The trail begins in the village of Východná. It runs along an amphitheatre to ponds. Take a forest path under a railway that follows the railway track and later turns left and begins to climb slightly. Go around deer observation logs where you can sit in the evening, and if you're lucky enough, patient and have time, you might see forest animals. The gradually ascending trail, wiggling through the forest, will bring you onto an asphalt road. Turn left and continue uphill to the dam. You´ll be rewarded with a beautiful view of the entire Liptov region, seeing the Choč´s Mountains in the distance, the Low Tatras on the left, and the West and High Tatras on the right.
