From Ružomberok to an abandoned settlement

The trail runs along the town of Ružomberok to the end of the village of Hrboltová. There is an asphalt road changing into solid stone grit and continuing towards the village of Švošov. Short ascents alternate short downhill runs. In front of Švošov follow an asphalt road again leading you to the village of Stankovany. Cross the railway crossing in the centre of the village, and taking the forest road continue along the railway station westwards. It is an ascending road, curving in the forest, one time moderate and another steeper. The route ends in Podšíp – a settlement, which used to be inhabited but now only a few buildings remained. The end of the trail is more difficult and can be very unpleasant, especially during wet weather because the surface consists mainly of clay.
