The trail starts at Andrej Hlinka Square at the Municipal Office. After a few hundred meters the trail is ascending significantly and tends to rise even more. The Calvary above Ružomberok is quite difficult, but with every meter of your ride fantastic views will be revealing in the distance behind your back. An asphalt road will lead you to the woods where steeper climbs alternate milder climbs. Leave the asphalt road on meadows above the village of Vlkolínec and continue ascending. The forest path runs higher and higher almost constantly until you see the whole Liptov basin with spectacular views. The trail continues over clear cut areas and forests where you can enjoy plains, descents and ascents as well. The meadow over Smrekovica is the last place which you´re supposed to reach. From this point go downwards; first along a narrow forest path, later taking an asphalt road. ATTENTION! The asphalt road is also used by cars riding to Smrekovica, so please be careful.
