From Skalité to Oščadnica
This route is an alternative to Kysucká cyklomagistrála, which goes through the main road between Skalité and Oščadnica. During the winter season, the tracks around Skalité are regulated for cross-country ski trails within the International Footprint of Health. We recommend refreshments at Cechospol Guesthouse in Skalité.
⦁ starting point: Skalité, railway station
⦁ from the orientation cycling sign go along the blue cyclist sign (parallel to the red tourist mark)
⦁ uphill on an asphalt (1,5 km) and panel road (1 km) until you reach a resting area Tri kopce
⦁ peak Liesková (beautiful views of Skalité) is not on the route (meadow and forest terrain 1 km from Tri kopce , go right and get back to the cyclotrail)
⦁ through forest stony road until Beskydok (views, wooden houses, water)
⦁ steep downhill to Oščadnica, Rovne and rejoining to Kysucká cyklomagistrála (red sign) by Biely kríž
