A trail suitable for mountain bikes only

The beginning of the trail doesn´t seem to be suitable only for mountain bikes, because from the town of Ružomberok the side trail ascending towards the village of Vlkolínec seems manageable even by track bikes. Take the main access road leading to Vlkolínec, then turn to a forest road. The village of Jazierce is far away and you are leaving asphalt roads behind you. The forest, gravel road is slightly ascending alongside a large meadow and in a while you can feel the main ascent. First drops of sweat are running down your forehead and you ask yourself: „Did I take the right trail“? Yes, you did. Just hold on. The steep ascent will change after a while, the road turns to the left of the valley and even the ascending will accompany you for a long time on this route, it will be much milder, because the trail runs across the contour lines. Time to time you will catch a glimpse of distant places Vlkolínec or Ružomberok. If you are at least two fellows, your time will pass very quickly and you will reach the highest point without any difficulties. Then a downhill ride follows along a nice forest road with several wonderful curves until getting to an asphalt road again. Don´t forget to decelerate here and listen to the sounds of nature. The village of Jazierce will appear on your left hand side as well as a creek, small waterfalls and lakes. They are really worth seeing. To get to the finish line, i.e. back to Ružomberok, take an asphalt road and later, when reaching Biely Potok, take a bike path.
