The nature trail Žiarska dolina has a total of five stops and fifteen thematic areas, three information boards and two signposts.

The placement of the information boards is as follows:

The first is located at the SAD bus turn, the second is located at the top of the parking areas. This informs visitors about the nature trail that continues on foot to the cottage in Žiar.

The third information board is located at Žiarska chata and informs visitors who leave Ziarska chata along the educational path.

According to the project, the nature trail has five stops. The first one is at the mouth of Žiarska valley near Bana and the individual panels show three thematic areas (Žiarska valley, village Žiar - short history, inhabitants of Žiar in wars). The second stop is at the third bridge, and the other two under Hladký and Mláky, where the footpath passes along the original old road to Žiar cottage. Thematic areas of fauna, flora, stream Smrečianka, mountains, avalanches, sheep breeding - mountain farming. The last stop is near Žiarska chata and contains thematic areas - old Žiarska chata and history of downhill skiing. The accompanying texts, which are in Slovak and English language, are also placed photographs.

Žiarska Valley is one of the most visited valleys of the Western Tatras. It is determined by natural beauty and easy access, it is only 12 km from the center of Liptov - the town of Liptovský Mikuláš. The end of the valley is formed by massive peaks and ridges. Valley visitors, tourists, participants of family and school trips will appreciate the information that photos and texts on the panels of nature trail provide them in the womb of quiet still intact Tatra nature.

After the completion of the second stage of the educational trail Žiarska dolina in the section Žiarska chata - Sad saddle (3 stops in total), our educational trail will be connected in the sad saddle with the Orava side of the Western Tatras mountains.
