After eleven years, the European Football Championship will take place again in Slovakia.

In 2010, it hosted the historically first continental championship in Bratislava, this time the EMF EURO 2022 will take place in Košice from June 6 to June 11. The entire championship will take place in the modern Steel Arena in Košice. The continental title will be fought by 24 national teams, which will divide the draw into six groups. Each team will play three matches in the first phase of the championship and the top sixteen teams will advance to the playoffs.

"The pandemic thwarted our plans in 2020, but we are happy that the European Championships in Košice will still take place. The players and fans deserve it and we believe that after such unfortunate years we will bring a little joy to Slovakia. We also thank the city of Košice again for strong support and, thanks to it, the European Championships in Košice can take place, "

said Peter Králik, president of the Slovak Football Association.

If will be a lower visitor capacity than the currently sold number of tickets is allowed at the time of the EMF EURO 2022 event due to the worsened pandemic situation, tickets will be refunded in full chronologically - by date of purchase = last purchased tickets will be returned first and gradually when the currently allowed capacity is reached.
