Divadlo Nová scéna vzniklo v r. 1945 v intenciách novej koncepcie kultúrnej politiky v povojnovej situácii s dôrazom na rozvoj divadelnej siete na Slovensku.

Štúdio L+S je divadlo s tridsaťročnou tradíciou, ktorú výrazne ovplyvnilo pravidelné hosťovanie toho najlepšieho z českých divadelných scén a avantgardných súborov, ako aj hudobné programy. Len pár mesiacov po otvorení divadla (vtedy s názvom Štúdio S) vstúpila na jeho javisko dvojica Milan Lasica – Július Satinský, ktorí svojim humorom udali poetiku a ráz jednej z najvýznamnejších bratislavských divadelných scén.

Divadlo Korzo´90 bolo založené 1. 4. 1990 a od septembra 1990 sa datuje prvá sezóna 1990/1991. V roku 1993 prijalo meno Astorka Korzo´90 podľa názvu bývalej kaviarne Astória, ktorá sa nachádzala v budove pôvodného sídla Divadla Astorka Korzo´90 na Suchom mýte 17.
