Anyone can see for themselves that this name is in place. The wild strait lined with steep slopes and rock walls is full of beautiful natural scenery, there are waterfalls, giant pots and towering bizarre rock formations.
The most famous of these departments is the so-called Stone grandmother. Legend has it that she is an evil stepmother who wanted to throw her stepchild off a rock, but before she could do so, she petrified. The Kamenná baba is also named after a protected nature reserve, on the territory of which the Lačnov Canyon lies, and which, in addition to interesting elements of inanimate nature, is also characterized by the occurrence of rare species of plants and animals. You can find here, for example, unique wild lilies or orchids.
The Lačnov canyon is accessible by an educational trail, the starting points of which are the village of Lipovce and the settlement of Lačnov. This walkway overcomes various natural obstacles; it crosses the creek bed several times, leads through sloping rocks and around waterfalls. The exposed places are equipped with metal stairs, ladders and auxiliary chains, thanks to which the tour can be completed without any special equipment.
