Who are the "Carpathian Germans?"
Since the Middle Ages, our Hungarian territory has been inhabited by the German population , in particular by craftsmen, tradesmen and spirits . The Germans in Slovakia, as one part of the Hungarians in the Germans, have settled and often settled in the 12th-14th. Three centuries of Slovakia: Bratislava and the surrounding area, Hauerland (Spišská Streda) and Spiš. The naming of the "Carpathian Germans" for the Germans in Slovakia and in Transcarpathian Ukraine was used as it very clearly expressed geographic diversity from the Sudeten Germans.

The fate of the Carpathian Germans in the post-war era was not easy. More than 90% of them had to leave Slovakia after 1945, almost eight years old their ancestors. To their native Slovakia they have a very strong positive emotional relationship , which proves a number of their economic and cultural activities in favor of the new Slovak Republic, whether in foreign countries or in Slovakia. There is no exaggerated claim that the new Slovakia has foreign propagators and allies in the Carpathian Germans.
KARPATSKOEMEMECKÝ SPOLOK
In the wake of the turbulent history , the Carpathian Germans Association is active in the city, which seeks to preserve the cultural heritage of the Carpathian Germans originally living in this territory for the next generation. After two years of renovating the House meeting in Nitra Pravne , On the occasion of the re-establishment of the parish church and meeting of the natives, the Museum of Culture of the Carpathian Germans was reopened. This is a permanent exhibition of the Museum of Carpathian Germans from Bratislava under the title "History and Culture of the Carpathian Germans in" Hauerland ". Visitors can see the museum's permanent exposure as it once lived in this location. The museum also hosts accompanying programs on various occasions, Creative workshops and competitions in the Dome of the Carpathian Society meeting where women are mainly presenting handicrafts from the field of embroidery, basketry, woven carpets, handmade textile trimmings to households and drotary products.

A unique monument to the culture of the German population is the cemetery with a chapel in Nitrianske Pravne with many beautiful tombstones showing their master craftsmanship. They create nostalgic landscapes, overlooking Calvary Solk - an exceptional sacral monument with a total of 27 neo-gothic buildings.

The Spa & Aquapark resort is in a beautiful aqua park, in the centre of Turčianske Teplice. It has two parts: ‘SPA‘ area (healing thermal water, 38 °C) and AQUAPARK area (thermal water up to 33 °C). Both are open throughout the year.
The centre of the southern part of Turiec is the spa Turčianske Teplice. The local hot springs were first mentioned in the 13th century. The legend has that King Sigismund of Luxembourg bathed in local springs in 1423. The town of Kremnica acquired the land with springs in 1532 and invested in construction of the first spa buildings. The spa was especially popular and visited in time of wars with the Habsburgs when the noble rebels used it as a refuge.
The facility includes eight pools that suit the needs of all kinds of visitors, with the swimming pool being the largest of them, as it is 50 metres long, 21 metres wide and 1.8 metres deep. The centre also features a car park, a wide selection of snacks, sports (beach volleyball, mini golf, table tennis and basketball) and amenities for children (a water slide, a number of slides, jungle gyms and a sand pit).
The Aphrodite Spa Rajecké Teplice is situated amid the scenic natural surroundings of the Malá Fatra and Strážovské Hills. The Spa offers healing thermal water with a temperature of 38°C, whose beneficial effects have been known since the fourteenth century. It contains calcium and magnesium ions and is especially good for the locomotor system, neurological diseases, occupational diseases, and drinking cures.
You can bathe in the Laura thermal spa in two swimming pools, from which one is for the children. The water temperature is 20 - 26oC. The area also offers mini-golf, beach volley, restaurants and snack bars with fast food. A parking lot is nearby.

High above the village Kláštor pod Znievom in the Malá Fatra Mts. raise the ruins of the Zniev Castle. It is the second highest situated castle in Slovakia (985 m).

Ruins of the Blatnický hrad Castle stand near the village Blatnica on the low but sharp limestone ridge, which separates Gaderská dolina valley from the Turčianska kotlina basin. It dates to the 13th century.
he Town Castle in Kremnica is part of the NBS - Museum of Coins and Medals. The castle hill is one of the locations with the earliest settlement within the town. The town castle comprises a compound of medieval buildings from the 14th through 15th centuries, protected with double fortifications to which town walls are connected. The town walls rank among the best-preserved town fortifications in Slovakia.
The Museum of the Slovak Village is the largest ethnographic open-air exposition in Slovakia. The museum, located in Jahodnícke háje in the southeastern part of the town of Martin, has been built by the Slovak National Museum in Martin since the 1960s. It provides a picture of traditional folk architecture, housing and the way of life of people who lived in northwestern Slovakia in the latter half of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century.

A permanent exposition called Slovak Modern 20th-Century Art in Turiec presents the works of well-known personalities associated with the Turiec region (M. A. Bazovský, J. Alexy, M. Benka, Ľ. Fulla) and a selection of works of artists included in Mikuláš Galanda's Group. Part of the exposition is devoted to Galanda and his works from the areas of painting, graphics and applied arts. Regularly-held exhibitions showcase mainly works of contemporary Slovak as well as foreign artists.
