Kysuce Regional Gallery

Museum & Gallery

The Kysuce Regional Gallery was founded in 1981, with its seat being located in the Town House on Hlinkova Street in the town of Čadca. It has a branch in the manor house in Oščadnica.

The Gallery's acquisitions and exhibitions are focused on fine arts of the latter half of the 20th century as well as on the contemporary art of the region of Kysuce and Slovakia. Its collections include 2837 works of art (paintings, drawings, plastic art, graphic art and utility art).

The Gallery organizes short-term exhibitions variably at two locations - Čadca's Town House and Oščadnica's manor house. The adjacent forest park of the manor house holds a permanent exhibition of outdoor plastic works presenting the results of the International Sculptors Symposiums, as organized since 2001.

The Oščadnica manor house will be closed to the public from 1 January to 30 April 2010 and from 1 November to 31 December 2010.
