Homeland Museum in Krásno nad Kysucou belongs to the administration of the Kysucké Museum in Čadca. It offers visitors an interesting and immensely attractive permanent exhibition called "Kysucká Odyssey", thanks to which it is possible in one place to discover the rich history of Kysuce from the oldest mammoth hunters through the age of Juraj Turzo to centuries of space flights.

The exhibition consists of eleven thematic units:

Geology - presents a unique mineralogical collection stylized into an adventurous journey into the depths of the Earth based on the famous novel by Jules Verne.

Paleontology - offers a breathtaking view of a life-size copy of a mammoth, a cub of prehistoric woolly rhinoceros and a scale model of a tyrannosaurus skeleton.

Prehistory - depicts a prehistoric man of the type Homo sapiens sapiens sitting by the focus.

Neolithic - depicts the first peasants in Kysuce at work.

Slavs - a Slavic family - a man and a woman with a daughter- in traditional clothing before the reconstruction of a part of the logging fortification is introduced here.

Early Middle Ages - captures the moment of setting the boundary stone in the delimitation of Kysuce.

Renaissance - a noble couple is introduced here - palatine Juraj Turzo with his second wife Elizabeth Cobor, standing in front of the chateau in Bytča.

Wallachian colonization - presents the traditional shepherd clothes as well as the interior and inventory of the shepherd's hut.

Šance-Valy fortification system - 18th century replica of the cannon.

Modern times - dedicated to the battle of Budatin.

Industrial age - represented by the scene from the building of the Košice-Bohumín railway.

Immigration - captures the embarkation of the Kysuce family aboard a steamboat in Hamburg heading to the USA.

Space Age - depicts astronaut Eugene Andrew Cernan walking on the lunar surface.

In addition, the exposition is enriched by an educational audio-video guide that guides visitors through the tablet through the mysterious and unusual world of Kysuce Odyssey.
