To the West Tatras without a rapid ascent

You´ll start in the town of Liptovský Hrádok and be comfortably transported along an asphalt road to the village of Podtúreň. The trail wriggles and bends and after the first ascent you are coming to the village of Jamník. An asphalt road leads behind the village, where you´ll pass a cooperative farm (keep it on the left) and approach the foot of the West Tatras. Take a ride along the runway where you can see Mt Kriváň in the distance. The asphalt road starts to lose its quality and finally it changes into a country road. It takes you into the spruce forest and let you out on an asphalt road at Račková valley. The trail is getting descend here, first rapidly then very slowly and you´ll get to the village of Pribilina without any effort. Pass an open-air museum, keep your way down the village, cross the main road and continue along a country road again. Still flat sections or descents, and an only mild ascent are waiting for you behind entering the village of Vavrišovo. Then continue along the mountain river Belá towards Liptovký Peter and the last downhill ride will get you back to the start line - Liptovský Hrádok.
