The Botanical Garden of Comenius University in Bratislava was the first of its kind opened in Slovakia. It is one of the favourite places of relaxation for inhabitants and visitors of our Capital.
Pri príležitosti 120. výročia vzniku prvej vodárne v Bratislave bolo v roku 2006 otvorené Vodárenské múzeum. Budova parnej čerpacej stanice v Karlovej Vsi z 19. storočia, v ktorej sa múzeum nachádza, je jedným z architektonických skvostov Bratislavy.
V budove postavenej vo funkcionalistickom štýle možno okrem expozície obdivovať i pôvodnú, na Slovensku ojedinelú terazzovú podlahu či štít na vstupnej fasáde so zakomponovaným erbom mesta. Ako historická pamiatka sa zachovala aj prvá studňa bratislavského vodovodu situovaná na ostrove Sihoť. V rámci rozširovania zariadenia verejného vodovodu bola v roku 1910 na ostrove postavená čerpacia stanica s elektrickými čerpadlami a priechodným betónovým tunelom s dvoma vodovodnými potrubiami. Tento secesný objekt je od vybudovania dodnes v prevádzke. Ostrov Sihoť s prvou studňou, čerpacou stanicou a tunelom, vedúcim pod ramenom Dunaja, sú súčasťou expozície Vodárenského múzea. Budova Vodárenského múzea, prvá studňa i prvá elektrická čerpacia stanica na ostrove Sihoť sú národnými kultúrnymi pamiatkami.

The famous rabbi Chatam Sófer was the pride of the Bratislava´s Jewish community. His vault has been preserved and nowadays it is part of the monumental memorial.
