Obec Čierne sa nachádza na severozápade Slovenska – na Kysuciach. Na jej území sa stretávajú hranice troch štátov: Českej, Poľskej a Slovenskej republiky. Tento bod sa nazýva Trojmedzie.
V roku 2007 sa tu vybudovala turistická lávka, ktorá preklenula roklinu a spojila Slovenskú republiku s Poľskom. Postupne samosprávy prihraničných obcí tu budujú základnú turistickú infraštruktúru.
Trojmedzie je celoročne navštevované turistami a koná sa tu viacero pekných medzinárodných stretnutí. Veľmi príťažlivé sú: stavanie mája, medzinárodný detský tábor, Goralský maratón, Slávenie sv. omše za účasti biskupov 3 štátov, turistické putovanie po 3 štátoch a Silvester na Trojmedzí – vítanie nového roka.
Pri budovaní diaľnice D3 Slovenská republika – Poľsko plánuje obec Trojmedzie prepojiť jednou cestou cez české územie a druhou cestou cez poľské územie. Turisti z Českej a Poľskej republiky by sa potom mohli bezproblémovo dostať z Trojmedzia do obce, kde by sa zoznámili s našou slovenskou kultúrou, zvykmi, tradíciami a krásnou prírodou obce i celého Slovenska.

História:
Najvýznamnejší údaj o počiatku obce poskytuje urbár Budatínskeho panstva z roku 1690, kde v stati o poddanskej obci Čierne sa uvádza „Anno 1645, jak se počala stavať dedina". Podľa kronikára, územie Čierneho pred založením pokrývali tmavé, čierne hory, podľa ktorých pomenovali novú obec. Ľudová tradícia zase hovorí, že na vyšnom konci dediny sa nachádzala čierna, rašelinová zem, podľa ktorej dali prvý osadníci obci názov „Čierne". Iný prameň uvádza, že názov Čierne pochádza zo starodávneho slova „crn", ktorým starí ľudia označovali nezarastené miesta pod húštinou pred vrcholom hory. Teda „crným miestom" až z toho vzniklo pomenovanie obce – Čierne. Cez obec preteká rieka Čierňanka.

In Kysuce village Korňa, you will not find any oil tycoons who would become rich thanks to „black gold“. However, you can find there the unique oil spring, which is the only preserved spring among similar smaller oil surface outflows in the central Europe. The picturesque village of Korňa is situated in the Čadca district, near the town of Turzovka, in Beskydy Mountains.
The Kysuce Museum in Čadca is a regional museum focused on national history and geography. At the same time, it is also a specialized museum with Slovakia-wide competence concerning the documentation of the development of forest railways in Slovakia for museum purposes.
The Kysuce Regional Gallery was founded in 1981, with its seat being located in the Town House on Hlinkova Street in the town of Čadca. It has a branch in the manor house in Oščadnica.
Kysuce used to be a region whose tinkers travelled all over the world with their panniers on their backs. It is not surprising that a beautiful monument to commemorate them was built in Turzovka. The tinker´s craft has a more than 400 year-old tradition in Kysuce. The famous Kysuce tinkers, when looking for work, sometimes got very far from their native country.
The narrow gauge Historic Forest Railway in Vychylovka in the Kysuce region in northwestern Slovakia is a technological masterpiece of world prominence operating in the area that divides the Kysuce and Orava regions.
The outdoor ethnographic exposition presents the "kopanice" type of scattered settlements in hilly areas which was typical of the Kysuce region.
In practice, the logging railway in Oravská Lesná in Orava was not only cheaper with respect to the construction and operation, compared to the conventional railways, but it also could cope with a very rugged terrain. Nowadays, it is not used for the original purpose – the transport of timber, but it serves as an attraction of the Orava Museum.
The Orava Museum established the exposition of the Orava Logging Railway and the Orava Co-ownership Association in the reconstructed premises of the service building and it will be pleased to welcome anybody coming to this beautiful part of Slovakia to spend their time in a pleasant manner and to have some new experience.
