The house, which was originally built as a sign of frustration with bureaucracy, soon turned into a popular tourist attraction. The building is located near Liptovský Mikuláš near the aqua park and is of course fully furnished. The equipment itself is mounted above your heads. The building that houses the museum is one of the most distinctive buildings of the square in the town of Liptovský Mikuláš. It has several names - the County House (Stoličný House), the Illešházy Manor House and the Seliga's House. It features a triple arch that is unusual for the town and stands out from the rest of the buildings on the square's western side.

Slovakia-wide specialized museum focused on nature protection and speleology in Slovakia. It includes the following permanent expositions: Protected Nature, Minerals - Their Occurrence, Utilisation, Protection, Karst and Caves of Slovakia.

Historic building on the site of a former coaching inn, mentioned in the 17th century. In addition to the primary function of a hotel and restaurant facility, which was partially preserved until the 1970s (the name of the company originated after 1850), the Black Eagle also served as a center of cultural life, whose significance exceeded the borders of Liptovský Mikuláš. In 1830, the history of Slovak amateur theater began to be written here, later several associations were housed in its building, including the cultural and reading association "Větín". During the May Day demonstration in 1918, the first public document by which the Slovak nation openly subscribed to the right to self-determination and to the idea of ​​Czech-Slovak reciprocity was heard in front of its participants gathered in the courtyard of the Black Eagle. At present, the building houses a unique exhibition from the history of hunting, hunting and fishing in Liptov, and numerous cultural and educational events take place here.

The outskirts of the town of Liptovský Mikuláš are quietly guarded from the north-eastward by the hill Háj. At this place you can find the commemorative area with a cemetery and the war memorial dedicated to soldiers who were killed particularly in the spring 1945. This place should remain the symbol of patriotism which helped to resist fascism even at the cost of losing soldiers’ lives.

The wooden articled Evangelical church near the village Svätý Kríž is one of the largest wooden buildings in the Central Europe which was moved here from Paludza between 1974 and 1982.

The Late Gothic wooden church of St Elizabeth is the dominant structure in the Museum of the Orava village - open air museum situated only 3 kilometres away of Zuberec near Brestová. It stands in cemetery in the middle of wonderful mountain scenery. The church was originally built in the 19th century and moved here in the 20th century from village Zábrež.
