Bratislava ZOO opened its gates in 1960 and is a home for 167 spieces, numbering more than 958 animals. Apart from breeding endangered species, it also fulfils educational role. V roku 1993 prijalo meno Astorka Korzo´90 podľa názvu bývalej kaviarne Astória, ktorá sa nachádzala v budove pôvodného sídla Divadla Astorka Korzo´90 na Suchom mýte 17. Od roku 2002 pôsobí Astorka na Námestí SNP 33.
