Rural colonizing Gothic church, built in the last third of the 13th century in the area between Ružomberok and Liptovská Štiavnica. Before 1466, they added a two-storey prismatic tower on the west side, and at the beginning of the 16th century the church was extended by a south nave with a new entrance.
The church grounds are bordered by a late Renaissance wall from the 17th century with a Classicist gate built in 1843. The interior of the church is a valuable testimony to medieval murals. On the north wall of the original nave there is a figural triptych with the figures of the Virgin Mary the Protector, Christ the Tripod and St. John the Baptist (resp. Christ the Good Shepherd), created around 1400. The sanctuary of the church is decorated with a unique Christological cycle, which originated around 1420. It is an interesting example of the local form of international Gothic style, influenced by patterns of book, wall and panel painting and Czech beautiful style. The painting decoration ranks the Ludrovsky Church among the most important sacral monuments in the region and in the whole of Slovakia.
The Gothic church is one of the expositions of the Liptov Museum.
